New Look, New Messaging, New Donation Center

Goodwill South Florida Redesigns Donation Trailers and Announces Grand Opening in West Kendall

If you know where your local Goodwill donation trailer is, you may have noticed there’s a face smiling right back at you thanking you for your donation, for helping someone in need get a job, and for doing your part in keeping 28 million pounds of your donations out of landfills by recycling them with Goodwill.  The network of shopping center Attended Donation Centers across Miami Dade & Broward County, has revamped their look and just grew by another location. The new grand total: 54 attended donation centers and 34 stores.

The donation centers have recently been renovated to include more lifestyle graphics, and mission statement, thank you message and sustainability messages. The trailers are staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., seven days a week, are the first step in a process to collect clothing and household items that are then sold at fantastic bargains at the 34 Goodwill stores and superstores. The proceeds help fund programs that offer training, employment and job placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to work.

The newly opened Attended Donation Center is located in West Kendall at the Paradise Lakes Shopping center, near Publix Supermarket, at S.W. 167 Ave and S.W 88th Street.

“Our strategy is to conveniently place our trailers where people do their shopping and banking, making it very convenient for them to donate their items and do their part in helping people with disabilities and other barriers,” said David Landsberg, Goodwill President, and CEO. “Goodwill is 100% nonprofit and 96% of our proceeds help fund our programs which puts us among the most efficient charities in the country.”

Landsberg added “we want everyone to know how grateful we are for their donations and for their continued support to Goodwill South Florida. Together we are making an incredible impact. Last year alone we served over 6,400 South Floridians."
