When you donate to Goodwill South Florida, your support creates opportunities for more people with disabilities to learn new skills and maximize each of their individual abilities. We provide training, employment and job placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to work –helping individuals increase productivity and achieve greater independence.
We greatly appreciate donations that Goodwill can use to sell in our stores!
The revenue from the sales of these donated items goes to help our nonprofit’s mission of training, employment and job placement for people with disabilities and other barriers to work.
When Goodwill receives items that cannot be sold, the staff must dispose of them, increasing expenses and reducing the revenue available for employment and educational services.

Yes, Furniture.
If you can bring it to us, we’re always happy to receive your furniture and over-sized donations at our Goodwill stores.
Can’t bring it to us? But you need it out?
We know that sometimes you just need the convenience of getting your large, difficult to carry items out of your home and into ours.
For when you absolutely, positively need your items out, you can hire our third-party partner, ReSupply, a veteran run organization, for your convenience who, for a fee, will handle all the details and will bring your donations to us. Our aim is to offer you premium service with the convenience of just one call. The pick-up fee reflects the operating costs and is much smaller than a usual moving company or junk hauler fees. (Fee is not tax deductible.)
Because of the cost of fuel, labor, equipment, insurance and other factors, it’s not possible for a nonprofit organization as large as Goodwill to provide these services and still be able to serve the people we want to serve effectively.
We do accept large items like furniture if it is in excellent, sellable condition in all our stores, except at our Donation Trailers also known as the Attended Donation Center’s (ADC’s) or our Store Donation Centers (SDC’s) as they are typically small and do not have enough space to store large furniture. Let’s Plan an Exclusive Donation Drive. We have more work to do.
Your donation drive can make a life-changing difference. You may not be aware that every time you give you allow Goodwill South Florida the funding we need to provide program services that literally change the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Our Attended Donation Centers and 33 retail shops, together with our Donation Drive events are the cornerstones of Goodwill South Florida’s mission. This is the vehicle which allows us to raise funds needed to fund programs for people with disabilities and other barriers.
As a result of our programs, last year Goodwill South Florida, a nonprofit serving Miami, Broward and Monroe Counties served over 6,888 people with disabilities, and the 92% were living below the poverty level when entering our program.
Recycle Reduce Reuse
- In 2021 Goodwill South Florida kept 34 million pounds of resold goods out of our landfills.
- 1,505 participants were placed in employment opportunities both in the community and at Goodwill.
Call us now to book your exclusive donation drive weekend.
Benefit: For your convenience, we would like to offer you an exclusive Donation Drive.
- It is a 3-hour event usually on a Saturday morning, from 9 AM to noon.
- Residents are encouraged to tidy up and organize their homes and donate the stuff they no longer use to Goodwill South Florida.
- The items are sold in our stores and the money is used to fund programs that train and employ people with disabilities and other barriers to work.
- If you are interested in doing your part to recycle, reuse and help people with disabilities and other barriers, let’s talk.
We will provide flyers and digital marketing to promote your event via email, newsletter, in the elevators, the mail room, the lobby and any other areas with high visibility.
To facilitate the process, we will provide the containers with no cost to you, although not required, a $500 cash donation is gladly accepted to cover some of our setup costs.
