Flamingo Pines Shopping Center
12594 Pines Blvd.
Pembroke Pines, FL 33027

MIAMI, FL  – Hip, trendy, lots of lights and unique, innovative retail displays is hardly what one expects to see at a thrift store, but at the Goodwill Superstore Grand Opening, coming soon, Pembroke Pines, is all that and more.

Aside from everybody loving a bargain, and a bargain that annually benefits upwards of 6,000 people with disabilities and special needs is better yet. That’s what Goodwill Industries is banking on as it plans to build and open a Goodwill Superstore. Goodwill stores, like a big garage sale, is where the adventurous shopper will experience the excitement of bargain-hunting at its best with great deals such as a designer suit for $15 or a crystal collectible for $5. In short, this is a treasure-packed store, which means the thrill of the hunt will be taken to an all-new level.

Goodwill pioneered the concept of thrift stores in Boston over 115 years ago and now they’re giving their customers something they didn’t expect – A fresh approach with innovative and trending displays.

With over 15,000 square feet, this store will feature a contemporary design with modern new fixtures noted Goodwill’s President and CEO, David Landsberg. Landsberg added, “We want to continue to raise the standard in thrift store shopping and broaden our customer base. The more people that donate and shop, the more people we can help.”

Used quality merchandise in clean, good condition will be sold, including clothing, accessories, shoes, books, toys, jewelry and electronics, plus housewares, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, linens, bric-a-brac and small appliances at incredible values.

This Goodwill will also feature a new drive-thru donation center around the back of the store. The drive-thru facility will be attended by Goodwill employees who will accept donations and unload car trunks to maximize speed and convenience. Noted David, “Making a donation is as simple as pulling up to the drive-thru and popping your trunk. A Goodwill representative will retrieve the donation items and the donor can be on his or her way in seconds with an e-mailed receipt for tax purposes.” All contributions are tax deductible.

David Landsberg explained, "This store is strategically placed to serve the Pembroke Pines area”.

Landsberg added, “This store offers the benefit of providing fashion-conscious individuals a place to put great, quality outfits together to make serious fashion statements – whether vintage, trendy, bohemian, classic, leather, designer, and even leopard prints – we have it all for a fraction of the cost you’d pay at other stores.”

As in all Goodwill store locations, donations are also gladly accepted and greatly appreciated. For more information, visit www.goodwillsouthflorida.org to sign up to our store news emails and text GOODWILLFRIEND TO 22828.
