David Landsberg - President & CEO
David Landsberg is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill Industries of South Florida. David joined Goodwill in May of 2014 and had served on the Goodwill Board of Directors for over 18 years before assuming his current position.
David is the past President and Publisher of Miami Herald Media Company (MHMC), where he oversaw the news and business operations of the company. An experienced newspaper industry executive who has worked for MHMC and its parent company for the past 29 years, he started his career with MHMC as a staff accountant. After 10 years in a variety of financial management in 1996 he became the Chief Financial Officer, where he also founded and ran the company’s internet operations. He served as Vice President of Advertising for six years and was later promoted to General Manager of MHMC, a position he held until October 2006 when he assumed the role of President and Publisher.
Mr. Landsberg, who is a native of Miami, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Finance and has an MBA from the University of Miami. He is a board member of United Way of Miami-Dade County, The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Orange Bowl Committee. He is a member of the Community Advisory Board for the University of Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
David and his wife Anoly have three daughters, and live in the City of South Miami.
Dennis Pastrana, Retired: President & CEO
Dennis Pastrana is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill Industries of South Florida.
Dennis's career with Goodwill Industries spans 35 years, and he is today recognized as "Dean" among 182 Goodwill Industries' Executives in America.
Dennis's career began in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the largest Goodwill in America, where he served for nine years and rose to the position of Assistant Executive Director.
For seven years, he served at the National Headquarters of Goodwill Industries in Washington, DC. He was Vice President of Membership Direct Services and responsible for providing consultation and technical assistance to all Goodwills' in North America and the Goodwill Executive Training Program.
Dennis came to Miami in 1979 to head a small, bankrupt, defeated and demoralized Goodwill Industries operating a few thrift stores. He has led the local Goodwill to a full recovery and subsequently to become one of the largest, entrepreneurial and diversified Goodwill Industries.
Dennis has a master degree in business administration from Marquette University. He is the recipient of numerous recognitions among them:
